DAY01: ARRIVAL VIENTIANE – VANG
VIENG BY ROAD
Our local guide pick you
up at the border then we start visiting the major sights of the
capital; including the oldest Wat Sisaket with thousands of
miniature Buddha statues and the former royal temple of Wat
PraKeo previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image. On the
way to the famous and sacred structure of That Luang stupa, we
stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxai which is well
known as Vientiane’s own Arc de Triomphe. Then transfer you to
Vang Vieng on the way we stop to visit 52KM villages (Mong
Village) then drive directly to Vang Vieng city. Overnight in
Vang Vieng (B/L/D)
DAY02: VANG VIENG – LUANG PRABANG BY
ROAD 319KM/4-5HRS
After ABF take your group
for local shopping at the market then we drive to Luang Prabang
on the way, Route 13 Northern, passing through ethnic minority
villages, with some houses overhanging steep roadside drop offs.
Look for the children playing in the dust with their piglets and
puppies. See examples of widen agriculture hacked out of steep
hillsides and the varying checkerboard patches of re-growth as
you continue your scenic journey. On arrival we transfer to
hotel for overnight in Luang Prabang (B/L/D)
DAY03: FULL DAY TOUR LUANG PRABANG
Morning sightseeing the
best preserved traditional city in Southeast Asia. The
tranquility and charm of this town with is splendid natural
scenery and cultural sights make it one of the most delightful
places to visit in Laos. We visit the impressive stupa of Wat
Visoun and the shrine of Wat Mai. Wat Xieng Thong with its roof
sweeping low to the ground, King Palace. We then climb up to the
top of Phousi Hill for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred,
then afternoon time we take boat cruise up the Mother River, the
Mekong, to visit Tham Ting shrine caves, opposite where the Nam
Ou and the Mekong meet. Enter into the caves where old royalty
played their respects and where the devout have donated
thousands of mixed Buddha images over hundreds of years to both
caves. Cross to Pak Ou village where ornate opium pipes, old
coin tokens and handicrafts are displayed, to take you back by
van to the city. Overnight at Luang Prabang (B/L/D)
DAY04: LUANG
PRABANG - DEPT BY FLIGHT
After ABF take
you for local shopping at the market then free until flight time
transfer to International airport for flight out. End of service
by Amazing Lao Travel and have a good next trip. (B/-/-)
